4 voices that can motivate you to live your dream
Do you know how good it feels good to finish a project? The feeling is very similar to finishing a work out at the gym. Both take a lot of work and you have to fight through challenges to finish but it feels so good to finish.
We've been busy in The Factory working on several projects for clients and we are rolling them out over the next two weeks. Hopefully, you caught our last post on our "Gym of Hope," but if you didn't click here to check it out. Here's the recap to our story: A family in full-time non-profit work start a company from an idea and are trying to grow it and still make an impact in non-profit work. If I told you how many times we have thought about quitting the business it would make you cringe because it happens more than once a week. But we press on because its so much fun to help others move a little closer to their dream and that's what The Factory is all about!

This is one of four sites we have been working on since August! In the "Gym of Hope" post we promised to talk about those who inspire us, like posters on the wall at the gym, we find motivation in the transparency of their stories!

1. Tsh at The Art of Simple - I mean come on, what a cool story. Right now, Tsh and her family have just started a year of traveling around the world! What!? But yes, because Tsh and her husband Kyle are both involved with creating revenue from online businesses they have the freedom to work from anywhere they can travel the world (Obvi there's more than that but it's a big part). Around our house it's not uncommon to hear The Art of Simple podcast playing while projects are being worked on.
2. Lindsay and Bjork Ostrom at PinchOfYum.com and FoodBloggerPro.com - We are serious when we say we value people who are transparent online. I don't think you can get any more transparent then publishing your income reports from your online business, which is exactly what they do at Pinch of Yum! These guys are fans of Gary Vaynerchuck and Seth Godin, like we are, and they've taken principals from those two around transparency and turned it into a revenue generating machine. And the great part of their story is that it wasn't overnight, they have worked hard for a couple of years to turn it into a reality while having full time jobs. So Awesome.
3. Pat Flynn at smartpassiveincome.com - Pat is the king of turning transparency online into a very profitable business. Pat's site and podcast have been popular for a few years now but who's not going to want to listen to a guy who's last monthly revenue report was $98,639.65? Check out Pat's income reports and try to act like he doesn't have your attention. Pat didn't get their overnight either but because he given free access to everything he has learned he is generating an incredible revenue. We call that motivation - the act of service online can lead to revenue.
4. Kimanzi Constable at kimanziconstable.com - Kimanzi is the newest poster in our "Gym of Hope." In a single day I listened to Kimanzi be interviewed on the 48days.net Tuesday Seminar by Dan Miller and then he got a shout out from our friend Justin Ricklifs. Kimanzi's story is just so cool, he went from a job that was sucking the life out of him to now doing what he loves, losing almost 200 lbs, and moving to Hawaii! Kimanzi has to be one of the internets fastest rising folks in regards to creating a life for himself through online transparency.
The great part about all these people is it doesn't feel like we have to do what they've done. We don't have to be them but they inspire us to do our best work. And when the work becomes too much or we don't think we can finish we read or listen to these people. They are inspirations to us! They define for us at The Factory what it looks like to create an online business in full transparency and the way it can serve other people and generate revenue!
